More than 50 years with fashion attached
1953. The district handicraft companies were established in Budapest. Most of them made use of the remainder or waste of the largescale industry employing outside workers. This served to a great extent the socially aimed employment.
1965. From the loose structural framework a large enterprise with nine branches, named the Handicraft Companies of the Capital was established.
By exhausting the Budapest workforce reserves new factories, works, outworking centres were set up in the country.
1980. The company received the designation as an organisation for employing people with a modified capacity of work.
31. December 1993. The company was restructured, it continued its activity as the Handicraft Share Company of the Capital. The document of foundation highlights that the aim of the employment policy, the determinant of the activity and the main feature of the working of the share company is the rehabilitation employment of people with a modified capacity of work.
01. April 2006. The company was transformed into a Public Utility Company. The company has many settlements and a manifold scope.
Nowadays
The Jeannette Clothing Company Unit is dealing with the production of ladies textile overclothes.
Among our products you can find everything, silk shirts, jackets filled with feather, evening dresses, wool suit etc.
Our activity is taken place mainly on the CMT bases on the foreign market and in Hungary as well. Our main markets are Italy, Germany, Austria and France. Our plants are producing high branded articles and products for well-known Europian boutiques.
We have our own modells as well for example for the Quelle department stores in some Europian countries.
We have our own collection of vestments, too. In the home market the employees of the Hungarian Telecom and the Malév Hungarian Airlines wear our suits.
We would like to achive a huge development on the field of the vestments production. It could ensure a uniform face for first of all hotels, offices and big firms. Our aim is to express not only the characteristics of the fashion in the form of the suits, pants, skirts, shirts and dresses but the image of the firm in the style fitted to the company management. Besides the form we would like to emphasize the row material to encrease our competitive power.
Because of the contraction of the traditional market we need to open towards new customers in and out of Europe to increase our export activity. Our aim is to extend our existing business connections and produce vestments for big hotel chains or firms in Europe, Asia or North America.
We have an up-to-date computerized preparation system of the production. In our 10 plants more than 600 workers, modern means of production, special machines can guarantee the high quality standard. We can offer whole service to our customers in the preparation, cutting and finishing the garments.
According to the employment policy of the Handicraft Company the Jeannette Clothing Company Unit employs people with modified capacity of work.
They sew simple things, such as table clothes, bedclothes, shopping bags or make some handicraft items, such as carpets and baskets.
